Today is the last day of Finals. Those of you who are not connected to post-secondary education or education in general, may not understand the joy connected to that statement. However, working with college age folks means that no less than six of them don't know what last and final means. Last Day--Final Exam. Last (the end or conclusion) Final (that which is last; that which forms an end or termination.)
So on Monday(not today, the last day) typically a day of food and fun at work before the entire campus empties...we have those six students (a drop in the bucket by all accounts, but a day spoiler for sure) coming in to finally complete their Finals. That would be their last day.
Though they are not reading this I would still like to say to those students. GO HOME!!! Do it now. Next semester make a concerted effort to complete your Finals by the actual last day. The End.
